Cut/Roll Threading
Mbolts utilises both thread cutting and thread rolling in its high-quality bolts.
Thread cutting is a subtractive process. Steel is removed through cutting to create the thread profile. In thread rolling, the threads are created by squeezing steel between two thread dies in a thread rolling machine. Steel is not removed but instead deformed through the profile of the die.
Both types of bolts have their advantages. Rolled thread bolts tend to have a higher tensile strength and can be produced more quickly. Cut thread bolts by contrast have fewer limitations on thread diameter and length. They can be manufactured to a greater number of specifications than rolled thread bolts. We provide whatever kinds of bolts that our clients need.
